Alliance Risk Group, Inc. started out as Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group, a company founded in 2005 by CEO Mario Pecoraro.  In 2020, the company united its services under one name – Alliance Risk Group, Inc., one logo, and one mission – to reduce risk and inspire confidence! 

Alliance Risk Group inspires confidence by providing risk mitigation solutions globally.  The services include due-diligence based background investigations customizable to a variety of industries including banking/finance, technology, energy, gaming/hospitality, transportation, staffing, healthcare and more.  Alliance also performs surveillance and complete SIU investigations for insurance and corporate professionals.

In addition, our litigation support team (formerly known as Avvocato Litigation Support International) offers complete legal support including service of process on a local, state, national and international level. We serve law firms of all sizes, in-house legal departments of major corporations and government agencies that need service of process anywhere.

Our claims adjusting team, (formerly known as Preferred Adjustment Company) provides full-service claims handling and property/casualty adjusting services for insurance carriers, self-insured companies, and attorneys. Alliance Risk Group’s experienced crew of adjusters are strategically located throughout New York and surrounding states. We are available to service claims on a regional and multi-state level.

Community Service

Alliance Risk Group participates in many charitable giving projects. One of our favorite causes is CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services (Community Action for Parents, Teens, and interested Neighbors.) Their mission is to assist youth and families of Saratoga County, New York build a brighter future by addressing issues from leadership development to homelessness and poverty. Each Thanksgiving, the office donates grocery items and gift certificates for turkeys to families in need.   We also participate in charitable walks and runs that assist worthy causes including Juvenile Diabetes Research, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer and Out of the Darkness suicide prevention walks. Meet Our Executive Team

2005

CEO Mario Pecoraro founded Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group, Inc. to investigate liability and workers’ compensation fraud and to conduct employee background checks for health care companies, hospitals and service industries. Having grown up working in a small, family-owned investigative company, he took the 15 years of experience he was exposed to and founded what is today a fully licensed, bonded and insured global investigative company.


By 2007, the company had grown to more than 10 employees providing employee background screening and insurance fraud investigation services.

2008

Avvocato Litigation Support International, powered by Alliance Risk Group, was added to the suite of services offered. This division provides legal support and process serving on a local, state, national and international level.


The firm is licensed in New York and New Jersey with plans to expand the practice to other markets.


The company committed over a quarter million dollars towards technology and infrastructure to keep abreast of the ever-changing market and regulatory requirements. In addition, a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan was put in place as mandated by the industry.

2009

In 2009, the company moved to its present 4,500 square foot office space located in Clifton Park, New York. This move represented the fourth relocation since 2006 to accommodate the company’s rapid growth.

2010

Alliance expanded its New York City operations with the establishment a sales office located at 5 Penn Plaza.

2011

In addition to New York and New Jersey, the company is also licensed in Connecticut and Florida. Alliance also maintains a network of several hundred dedicated professionals in many states and countries to assist in all phases of national and international investigations. Mario Pecoraro is named one of the Albany Business Review’s “40 under Forty” to honor his achievements as one of the Capital Region’s most outstanding business people.

2012

Alliance acquired Streamline Claims Service, a full service claims handling, property/casualty firm. This division offers property adjusting services with state-of-the art estimating, valuations and reporting. In addition, our casualty adjusting services include comprehensive statements, locus investigations, medical authorizations and prompt information for an all-inclusive investigation.


Alliance added four new field investigators, a part-time certified paralegal professional, and several new employees in the insurance fraud investigation division.In addition, the company expanded its Florida operations with the establishment of a sales office located in West Palm Beach, Florida.

2012

The company is launching a new website with a client portal system for each division where clients can log-in and access information 24 hours a day/7 days a week. In addition, Alliance is implementing a new database system for each division for better integration and customer service.


We have also developed a web-based Applicant Portal System where applicants can submit background release forms online. Our Applicant Portal System is a fully secure asymmetric cryptosystem used for data encryption and decryption.


The company currently employs nearly 30 employees and has plans for further growth and expansion in the future.

2013

In March of 2013, Alliance Risk Group, Inc., (AWIG) acquired Shadow Investigations & Process Service Inc. The company had been operating as a full service investigative and legal support service company, servicing approximately 150 corporations and law firms throughout the greater New York City/Metropolitan Area. The acquisition provides enhanced investigative support for all industries on a variety of confidential matters, as well as augments the support we provide to corporate legal teams and law firms throughout New York. These services include insurance fraud investigations, employment background checks, background investigations, and service of process on a local, state, national and international level.

2014

Alliance Risk Group adds new staff in all divisions to accommodate growth. New sales representatives are positioned in several geographic regions throughout the country. The company also expands its licensed states to include Pennsylvania.


Mario Pecoraro is also granted approval by the HR Certification Institute to give accredited webinars and presentations; and by the NYS Insurance Department for continuing education credits targeting adjusters and brokers.

2014

Mario Pecoraro is becoming known as an international leader in the investigative industry and his is profiled in several regional and global publications. He appears on ABC’s 20/20 as the “Gold standard for those who want to screen out the fakes.”


Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group has been named one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in the Capital Region by the Albany Business Review.

2015

Mario Pecoraro publishes a book available on Amazon.com: The Claim Game: Twenty Best Practices When Managing and Investigating Workers’ Comp Claims and is interviewed by NBC Affiliate, WNYT.


The Company expands several departments with the addition of new employees.


Scott Moore was named Director of Operations.

2016

Alliance was named 2016 Best Places to Work in the Capital Region by the Albany Business Review. Receives Certificate of Distinction for demonstrating a high level of employee engagement and satisfaction.


Merger of Streamline Claims Services and Preferred Adjustment Company announced. The new company operates under the name, Preferred Adjustment Company, providing claims handling and property/casualty adjusting services.

2017

Alliance CEO, Mario Pecoraro purchases new office space for Corporate Headquarters located at 23 Executive Park Drive, Clifton Park, New York.


Alliance CEO, Mario Pecoraro presents legislative updates at the Capital Region Human Resources Assocition’s “HR at the Helm” one-day conference at the Empire State Plaza.


Alliance CEO, Mario Pecoraro presents “Tragic Lessons Learned: Best Practices to Prevent Workplace Violence” at the Risk Management Society (RIMS) Annual Conference and Exhibition in Philadelphia.


Alliance launches new state-of-the-art website to better serve our clients and all site visitors.

2018

Alliance adds an experienced Director of Sales position to guide it through forecasted explosive growth and new employees are added to all divisions.


Philadelphia is added to the Alliance list of satellite offices joining New York City, West Palm Beach, and our Clifton Park, NY headquarters.


Licensed states continue to expand with the addition of Massachusetts. Other states include New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida and Pennsylvania.


Mario Pecoraro continues as an established thought leader at national conferences who speaks on mitigating risk by hiring right and lessening exposure to workplace violence and fraud.

2019

CEO Mario Pecoraro publishes book called “Avoiding Costly Hiring Mistakes” and continues to speak at national conferences on the topic of workplace violence, employment hiring best practices and risk mitigation in office environments.


Alliance expands Background Investigation Division by adding two employees at our corporate headquarters and a Sr. Acct. Executive based in the Southeast U.S. specializing in employment and tenant background screening services.


Alliance Risk Group Division expands with a Florida Regional Manager to handle suspected workers’ comp fraud cases; The company now offers remotely-operated surveillance services


Alliance Property/Casualty Adjusting territory expands to include all regions of New York including the North Country, Capital Region, Hudson Valley, Southern Tier, Long Island and Western New York. Services are also available in Western Massachusetts and neighboring states.

2020

Alliance Worldwide Investigative Group officially changes its name to Alliance Risk Group Inc. The change rebrands subsidiary companies, Preferred Adjustment Co. and Avvocato Litigation Support International under the Alliance Risk Group name with a united mission to reduce risk and inspire confidence across all service lines.


Claims Adjusting Services key contact with 30+ years experience, accepts Managing Adjuster role under new structure.


Whether operating remotely or at company headquarters, Alliance provides leadership and exceptional service in all divisions throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic restrictions. 


Company approved as a SHRM Recertification Provider (3/2020-3/2022) awarding SHRM Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for HR knowledge and competency programs through quarterly webinars.


Sales Development Representative joins team to assist clients’ risk mitigation through effective, customized background investigation solutions and products.

2021

CEO Mario Pecoraro approved as a Certified Licensed Instructor by the Florida Dept. of Financial Services, Div. of Insurance Agent and Agency Services offering Florida Insurance Adjuster Continuing Education Credits. 


Company continues to expand with the addition of Senior Account Executives based in Florida sales operations and two employees in the Background Investigation Division. 


Long-time Director of Operations, Scott Moore, accepts exapanded position as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all operational functions of the business.
