The staff from Alliance Risk Group participated in the CAPTAIN Youth and Family Services (Community Action for Parents, Teens, and Interested Neighbors) Thanksgiving Drive. Each year, Alliance participates in CAPTAIN’s drive to donate over 100 Thanksgiving baskets to local families. Each basket contains everything needed for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
The Alliance staff purchases all the components necessary to create a complete Thanksgiving meal, and CEO Mario Pecoraro, who serves on the Board of Directors for CAPTAIN, provides a gift card for a turkey. This year, Alliance was able to donate 11 complete Thanksgiving baskets and will be delivering the baskets to CAPTAIN Executive Director, Sue Malinowski today. CAPTAIN will begin giving out the baskets to families in need on Monday, November 25.
CAPTAIN is a volunteer-driven provider of Youth Leadership programs and services to youth in need. They also provide services for parents who are facing challenging times. Their mission is to assist youth and families of Saratoga County build brighter futures. With programs addressing issues from leadership development, to homelessness and poverty, CAPTAIN’s primary focus is lifting people up, and building brighter futures.
