The Professional Background Screeners Association (PBSA) has concerns about the unavailability of information sources including courts because of COVID-19 related closures. They have recently reached out to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (U.S. CFPB) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on guidance for remaining in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act’s (FCRA) 30-day requirement for conducting complete background reinvestigations during the dispute process.
