Staffing companies have unique needs, in that their role is to fill positions at other companies, often temporarily. It might seem, then, that there isn’t a need to conduct a background investigation on anyone you bring on or recommend to your client companies. However, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Anything that goes wrong with someone you have suggested to one of your clients could come back to harm your reputation down the line. After all, they will have an expectation that you are staffing their business with employees of quality. Conducting background checks before recommending a potential hire to customers is essential to maintaining a positive relationship.
